Tasks:
  1. Plan and control budget and expenditures
  2. Plan, develop, implement and evaluate human resources policies and programs
  3. Advise managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, benefit programs and collective agreements
  4. Establish and implement policies and procedures
  5. Train, direct and motivate staff
  6. Assign, co-ordinate and review projects and programs
  7. Plan, develop and implement recruitment strategies
  8. Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions and salary scales
  9. Co-ordinate employee performance and appraisal programs
  10. Manage training and development strategies
  11. Research employee benefits and health and safety practices and recommend changes
  12. Hire, train and supervise staff
  13. Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
  14. Recruit and hire staff
  15. Propose improvements to methods, systems and procedures
