Client Relations Associate - Financial Services

Position Summary:

 

The Client Relations Associate will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships both internally and externally with our clients, providing exceptional service. The ideal candidate will work closely with our Portfolio Management team and play a key role within our Operations team. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and attention to detail and be exceptionally organized, motivated, and resourceful. Experience in digital marketing would be a welcome addition.

 

The successful candidate will be provided with training and the opportunity to grow and develop into more senior roles at MWG, as the company grows.  The opportunity to pursue courses such as the Canadian Securities Course or designations such as the CFP (Certified Financial Planner) will be encouraged.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the Executive Management and Portfolio Management Teams in preparing regular reports and client presentations;
  • Support Client Relations staff with client contact, account documentation and marketing initiatives;
  • Create and maintain client records on the CRM system to ensure data is accurate, current and complete;
  • Liaising with operations staff and the custodian to follow up with the new account process;
  • Assist with networking events, client meetings, and office events;
  • Distributing quarterly statements and year-end tax reporting packages;
  • Fulfilling ad-hoc requests from clients;
  • Manage emails coming to corporate website and general incoming calls, ordering supplies;
  • Assisting in other client administration tasks as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma specializing in Finance/Commerce/Business
  • Ability to work independently in a time sensitive environment and deal with fluctuating work volumes
  • A high attention to detail
  • Experience in an administrative support related position (experience with mutual funds, securities/investments would be an asset)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel) is required; email/website software (i.e., MailChimp, WordPress, InDesign) and organizational software such as CRM is considered an asset
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written / verbal communication and people skills
