The Opportunity:

Reporting to the VP, Department of Operational Excellence, the Senior Data Business Lead will be responsible for gathering, organizing, and analyzing data from a variety of sources to find meaningful trends and patterns in the data that they’re analyzing. They do this by using their experience, programming tools, and software designed to support this kind of work.

The Data Analyst is responsible for ensuring that business requirements for data presentation and consumption are communicated effectively as well as overseeing the reporting frameworks, guaranteeing the integrity and precision of data being transmitted and presented to clients via a data feed and/or regularly scheduled reports.

Working closely with the Patient Support Program, Pharmacy, and Technology teams, they will be responsible for ensuring that data is being properly captured to ensure data integrity and accuracy of reports.

The ideal candidate is extremely detail and process orientated with 5+ years of experience working in Patient Support Programs with experience in program launches, new service launches, and program transitions. With a strong understanding and experience in PSP programs, market access and reimbursement policies, the candidate will transform raw data into structured information, which will then be analyzed to glean insights that drive strategic business decisions for our clients and PSP management approaches.

This position encompasses a comprehensive analysis lifecycle, covering requirement gathering, design planning, activity execution, including UAT. Data analysts are tasked with enhancing analytical and reporting functions, as well as supervising ongoing performance and quality assurance processes to pinpoint areas for enhancement.

A Day in the Life (What you will do here):

  • Report Requirements: With PSP experience, understanding of business workflows and applications being used, be able to translate the needs of the business into robust requirements to build reports and dashboards. Responsibilities also include being able to facilitate discussions with clients and internal business teams to explain the report logic and highlight alignment with business processes.
  • Report Requirements Documentation: Accurate and comprehensive documentation of report objectives, scope and requirements. This is inclusive of detailed workflow documentation.
  • Data Cleaning and Preparation: This involves filtering the data, handling missing values, and preparing the dataset for analysis to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Data Exploration and Analysis: This involves the use statistical tools and techniques to explore and analyze data, identifying patterns, relationships, trends or errors.
  • Data Visualization: Create visual representations of data findings through charts, graphs, and dashboards to make the data understandable.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports and presentations to communicate data insights and findings to stakeholders, which can influence policy and decision-making processes.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional departments to understand their data needs and help them make informed decisions based on data insights.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the manager

  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical sales and marketing functions, relationship building, value-based approaches, and sales-based metrics and KPIs.
  • Adept at report writing and presenting findings.
  • Ability to prepare and interpret workflows and step-by-step business processes and relate them back to report / dashboard data and analysis.
  • Possess a solid foundation in statistics and practical experience with statistical software (such as Excel, SPSS, SAS), reporting tools (Power BI, SSRS) and mastery in data analysis languages such as SQL, Python, and R.
  • Exhibit exceptional analytical abilities to compile, structure, examine, and present substantial data sets with precision and thoroughness.
  • Capable of critically evaluating data to derive meaningful, actionable insights.
  • Ability to work under pressure to manage multiple priorities, tasks, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, strong initiative, high sense of urgency, and comfort managing conflicts.
  • Proven results delivering significant business changes within a fast-paced, cross-functional, and matrix environment.
  • Demonstrated ability working cross-functionally to align, motivate, and coordinate team members to collectively define and achieve critical milestones.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and influence combined with excellent communication skills – listening, verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a comparable discipline is required, with prior experience in data analysis or a related field being advantageous.
