ARC Business Solutions Inc. is currently seeking individuals with experience as a Systems Analyst for upcoming opportunities with ARC’s clients. This is a 6-month contract and is a hybrid role based in Edmonton.

Skills:
  • Experience working with modern front-end and back-end web technologies such as JavaScript, single-page application frameworks, .NET, SQL Server, and association management software will be an asset.
  • Knowledge of system development life cycle, structured systems development concepts, as well as software development methodologies.
  • Knowledge and skills of modern deployment practices and tooling for release and deployment management.
  • Excellent customer service skills and habits are a must.
  • Able to organize and prioritize your work independently.
  • Ability to support end users at an intermediate level.
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Stays up to date with current advancements in application development tools and best practices.
  • Strong abilities in T-SQL Querying and database performance troubleshooting.
Scope:
  • This position is the main point of contact for all IT Applications to internal staff and external members.
  • Provides extensive IT Application support by acknowledging, prioritizing, organizing, and following up on inquiries from internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive and understand problems from a broad, interactive perspective and can develop solutions that combine information and ideas.
  • Strong ability to work with diverse groups of people, building professional and productive relationships with colleagues and vendors.
  • Ability to work under pressure, independently or in teams, and meet tight time-sensitive deadlines by prioritizing work and multitasking.
  • Anticipates problems and works proactively to solve them through creative thinking and making decisions in a changing environment.
  • Work closely with different stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into fully functional solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with confidential information and make logical decisions to enhance the performance and security of the applications.
  • Ability to communicate ideas, project, and process concepts, both orally and in writing, with ease and clarity.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality technical documentation.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary degree in IST, computer science, software development, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible related experience in medium IT environments.
  • Certification in .NET, C#, SQL, ITIL 4, or other related certificates considered an asset.
  • Experience in software development using Microsoft and Atlassian tools will be an asset.

Degree designations (e.g., Bachelor of Science, Computing Science, MBA) and/or vendor technical certifications are desirable criteria for our selection.
