Accounting Supervisor

Job Title: Accounting Supervisor.
Location: Markham, ON.
Job Type: Full-Time Permanent position.
On-Site.
Our client is Canada’s leader in visual communications. They are based in Markham, Ontario and are currently looking for an Accounting Supervisor to join their finance department. The ideal candidate is someone with a proven track record of managing and coordinating the general accounting and reporting services.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting operations across all company divisions.
- Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements ensuring that all reporting requirements are accurate and timely
- Perform day-to-day processing of accounts receivable/payable to ensure finances are maintained in an effective.
- Review all balance sheet reconciliations, vendor reconciliations and their aging on a monthly/quarterly basis.
- Conduct meetings as required to discuss and resolve accounting issues, process improvements and identify risks proposing solutions and escalating as appropriate.
- Maintain and manage corporate ERP system and other applications.
- Manage financial, process transactions, consolidate and analyze.
- Preparation of monthly Remittances.
Skills and Experience
- University or college degree in Accounting/Finance
- 5-6 years of accounting experience.
- Proven experience un a supervisory role.
- Proficient in financial accounting software (Sage).
- Strong Excel skills is required.
- Motivated self-starter who works as a supportive team player.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Proven track record of relationship building with employees at all levels of the organization.
