Reporting to the Senior Financial Controller, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for reconciling complex sections during monthly closings, as well as preparing financial statements. The Financial Analyst will also act as a technical expert to his colleagues during the SAP implementation, in which he will participate as a "Super-User". The Financial Analyst will work a hybrid schedule, telecommuting from the Montreal office.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Record adjustment entries for complex sections;
  • Document accounting processes in the new SAP ERP;
  • Be a reference for the accounting team in case of questions;
  • Prepare quarterly financial statements in accordance with IFRS in order to provide accurate and timely information to partners;
  • Identify and act on process improvement opportunities;
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations;
  • Perform any other tasks related to the Financial Analyst position that are relevant to the success of the project.

Basic skills

  • Demonstrate autonomy;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Ability to meet deadlines;
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems;
  • Organizational skills.

Technical skills

  • Know the principles of control over the different accounting cycles;
  • Experience with integrated ERP software preferred (ideally SAP S/4);
  • Experience in preparing financial statements;
  • Be comfortable using advanced formulas in Excel.

Qualifications required

  • Professional accounting studies (university level), CPA designation (an asset);
  • At least three (3) years' relevant experience;
  • Bilingual (French and English), will interact with the Toronto team.
