Financial Analyst II

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst II to join our Group FP&A team at Intact Financial Corporation.
As a Financial Analyst II, you will play a key role in evaluating the financial performance of our global operations, preparing the weekly group forecast, contributing to the annual planning process, and performing ad-hoc analyses to support senior management's decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare the weekly group forecast and participate in the annual budget process.
- Liaise with various stakeholders within the organization to gather updates and analyze data to provide insights.
- Understand key data sources, dynamically upkeep, and increase control effectiveness of reports to ensure accuracy and provide comparative view of various financial/operational Key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Assist in the monthly forecast discussion preparation and support team members in the execution of special projects and in their day-to-day responsibilities.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, actuarial or any other analytical training.
- Three to five years of finance, accounting, or actuarial experience.
- Working towards a professional designation (an asset if already completed).
- Insurance industry experience, an asset.
- Modelling skills, an asset.
- Strong planning/organization skills and attention/focus on details.
- Strong analytical skills and financial aptitude.
- Highly proactive and self-motivated.
- Ability to interact and communicate clearly with a variety of people at all levels of the organization and across different countries (Canada, US & UK).
- Willingness to learn, agile and proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced/changing environment.
- Bilingualism (French-English), spoken and written.
