We are seeking an experienced Power Engineer 5 | Maintenance Worker V to join our dedicated team at Queen Victoria Hospital in Revelstoke, BC. This role includes an on-call component for tasks such as heliport inspection, building and equipment checks, and snow removal during the winter.

Your Role:

Aligned with our organization's vision and values, you will operate and maintain the power plant/low-pressure steam plant, ensuring the efficient functioning of boilers, air conditioning units, emergency power, and other related equipment. Your responsibilities will include performing trades duties approaching the journeyman level in various areas such as electrical, plumbing, and painting, and supervising maintenance workers and other designated staff.

Key Tasks Include:
  1. Operating, repairing, and conducting preventative maintenance on steam, hot water heating boilers, and HVAC systems.
  2. Monitoring and adjusting temperature control systems, pressure, and feed water levels.
  3. Recording meter and gauge readings to ensure optimal distribution of steam/air heating.
  4. Altering system operating parameters, schedules, and calibrating instrumentation components.
  5. Lubricating, repairing, replacing, or installing equipment and parts like pumps, fans, air compressors, valves, and seals.
  6. Maintaining required documentation to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
