Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at Jacobson Ford Sales Ltd. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction by providing exceptional vehicle maintenance and repair services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Conduct thorough inspections and tests to identify faults and malfunctions in mechanical units, including engines, transmissions, and brakes.
  • Repair and Replace Parts: Diagnose and repair or replace faulty parts and components to ensure vehicles are safe and running efficiently.
  • Estimate and Perform Maintenance: Estimate the cost of repairs and maintenance, and perform scheduled maintenance services to prevent future issues.
  • Coach and Train Apprentices: Provide guidance and training to apprentices to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Environment: Ensure the service department is clean, organized, and safe for employees and customers.
Requirements
  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification: Possess a valid trade certification in automotive service technology.
  • Red Seal Certificate: Hold a Red Seal certificate in automotive service technology.
  • Valid Driver's Licence: Possess a valid driver's licence and be willing to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
  • Steel-Toed Safety Boots: Wear steel-toed safety boots and other required personal protective equipment.
Working Conditions
  • Noisy Work Environment: Work in a noisy environment with exposure to loud machinery and equipment.
  • Standing for Extended Periods: Stand for extended periods and be able to lift and move heavy objects.
