Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Maintenance of accounting records
- Analysis of budget expenditures and revenues
- Preparation of estimates
- Identify and address potential risks in processes
- Support in the development and implementation of new systems and processes
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and government regulations
- Other tasks as required
- Post-secondary education in business or accounting
- Minimum five years experience in an accounting-focused role
- Prior experience within the provincial government is a definite asset but not required
- Strong computer and software skills
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities
- Must have great attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
