Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and proactive HR Business Partner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employee relations and collective agreement interpretation and application. This role involves partnering with plant leadership to support HR initiatives, ensuring compliance with the collective agreement, and fostering a positive work environment. The HRBP will report directly to the Senior HR Plant Manager and will focus on operational HR talent cycle, labor, and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities:
Labor & Employee Relations:
- Foster positive labor relations and ensure compliance with collective agreements.
- Collaborate with union representatives to address labor issues and negotiate agreements.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on labor relations matters.
- Provide expert advice and support to managers and employees on employee relations issues.
- Investigate and resolve employee complaints and conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Promote open communication and trust between employees and management.
- Provide guidance to managers on the application of the collective agreement.
- Participate in negotiations and discussions related to the collective agreement.
Operational HR Support:
- Implement HR policies and procedures to support daily operations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR programs and initiatives.
- Monitor HR metrics and provide insights for continuous improvement.
- Support recruitment and HR talent cycle processes.
Engagement and Retention:
- Support the design and implementation of employee engagement programs.
- Conduct employee surveys and feedback sessions to identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in the development of diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Contribute to retention strategies to enhance employee satisfaction and loyalty.
- Lead the annual events calendar planning and deployment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources management, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience, with a focus on employee relations and labor relations.
- Strong knowledge of collective agreement interpretation and application.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build trust-based relationships with employees and managers.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken French and English.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
