In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with Engineers and other team members to maintain and revise engineering drawings using CAD software.
- Work with Engineering Drafting Work Leader to address internal and external stakeholders’ requests for drawing reservation.
- Work with Engineering Drafting Work Leader to maintain FortisBC’s DMS.
- Work with the Engineering team to ensure the drawings meet Regulatory and FortisBC’s standards of quality.
- Work with FortisBC’s Records Analysts to identify issues on Engineering drawings, provide feedback, and help address the issues on engineering records.
- Collaborate with Project Compliance Coordinator and Engineering team in creating Engineering shapefiles using ArcGIS.
- Provide project closeout support by being a bridge between the Records Analysts and Engineering groups to ensure Engineering closeout deliverables are submitted thoroughly and timely.
What it takes: You are:
- Enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering program (second year or higher) or technologist level program in Applied Sciences.
- Enrolled in a Co-op program.
- Skilled in the art of interacting with people at all levels of the company as well as external stakeholders.
- Exceptional in communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Strong in presentation skills.
- Comfortable working with a broad range of responsibilities with multiple stakeholders from various professional backgrounds.
- A “self-starter” who works effectively on your own or in a team environment.
- Experienced or knowledgeable with CAD applications and ArcGIS.
- Strong in computer skills (MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, etc).
