Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to champion their health and safety program and make a real impact across their organization. Our client believes safety is more than a requirement – it's a culture. As a Safety Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in shaping this culture, empowering their team, and ensuring that every employee goes home safely at the end of the day. Safety Administration: WSIB paperwork and other safety-related documentation.
Site Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Employee Compliance: Monitor adherence to the company's health and safety program, fostering accountability and awareness.
Training Coordination: Organize and book in-house safety training to keep the team informed and prepared.
Track employee training certifications and ensure onboarding safety documentation is complete and recorded accurately.
Regulatory Updates: Stay ahead of regulatory changes and recommend proactive measures to keep the company compliant.
Risk Management: Identify, evaluate, and mitigate hazards and risks across the organization.
Be a resource for employees and management on safety-related concerns and initiatives.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Valid driver's license and ability to commute to various job sites.

Post-secondary diploma/certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
Additional H&S training (WHMIS, JHSC Certification, Working at Heights, etc.) is considered an asset.
Certifications in WHMIS, Working at Heights, and forklift operation are desirable (training available if necessary).
Safety experience within a construction environment is an asset.
