Key Responsibilities

  • Daily site reviews of subtrade works. Conducting quality activities aligned with project scope as per the contract terms and conditions.
  • Performing visual examinations, witnessing, monitoring, and/or documenting as per project quality and inspection testing plans.
  • Liaising with Owner representatives and consultants on quality related items.
  • Monthly written quality reports.
  • Preparation and issuance of NCRs, NCR follow-up and logging
  • Staying current with industry practices and technologies and seeking new and innovative construction methods and processes.
  • Hosting and preparation of Passive House meeting minutes.
  • Assisting Site Superintendent with some daily data collection tasks.
  • Preparation of CAD sketches to assist with RFI submissions and subtrade coordination.
  • Reviewing schedules.
  • Participation in weekly subtrade meetings.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Degree or diploma from an accredited engineering program, construction management program, or a related discipline.
  • 2-5 years of experience working in the construction industry.
  • Working knowledge of pertinent regulations, codes, and specifications related to construction.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership, even in situations without authority.
  • Position requires proactive skillsets and a level of self-motivation to achieve a successful completion to complex interactions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to lead the effective implementation of operational best practices, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self-directed, motivated team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
