Responsibilities

  1. Personal Care: Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  2. Companionship: Provide conversation and companionship, encourage social engagement, and participate in hobbies and activities.
  3. Meal Preparation: Plan, prepare, and serve meals according to specific dietary needs and preferences.
  4. Medication Reminders: Ensure clients take their medication as prescribed.
  5. Light Housekeeping: Perform tasks such as laundry, changing bed linens, vacuuming, and general tidying up.
  6. Transportation: Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and social activities.
  7. Safety Monitoring: Ensure the client's home environment is safe and address any potential hazards.
  8. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client's condition to the supervisor.
  9. Support: Assist with mobility and physical therapy exercises as directed.
  10. Respect and Dignity: Treat all clients with respect, maintain confidentiality, and uphold their dignity at all times.

Qualifications

  1. Compassion and Empathy: A genuine desire to help others and provide excellent care.
  2. Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Physical Stamina: Ability to assist clients with mobility and perform physical tasks.
  4. Reliability: Dependable with a strong sense of responsibility.
  5. Experience: Previous caregiving experience is preferred but not required; we provide comprehensive training.
  6. Background Check: Must pass a background check.
  7. Driver’s License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.
