Askey Animal Hospital has a rare opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Assistant, Client Care Coordinator to join us in this important hybrid role with our team In this role, you will be a key link between our clients and veterinarians, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. You'll support the entire team with your knowledge and assist clients with inquiries, updates, and care for their pets. This role requires strong organization, flexibility, and a positive attitude. Your exceptional communication and customer service skills will help us maintain high standards of care and exceed client expectations. Some requirements and duties include:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in the Veterinary Industry or in a comparable client care customer service role
  • Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting pets and pet parents at ease and creating a welcoming environment
  • Ability to answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectively
  • Strong computer skills are essential. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Scheduling appointments; Admitting and discharging pet patients
  • Invoicing/billing; creating estimates and processing payments
  • Take initiative and collaborate in a positive, professional manner with your fellow teams
  • A Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Assistant Office Administration (VAOA) program certificate is an asset
  • General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas, and common areas
  • Willingness to learn more regarding veterinary services, updated medical office procedures, and assist the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
  • A love for all companion animals
