Qualifications:

  • Knowledge & understanding of LiDAR and its field and office application is a must
  • Registered with the Association of BC Forest Professionals as an RPF or RFT, or eligible
  • Knowledge of forest engineering and timber development, including harvest planning, road layout & design, and deflection line analysis. Able to gather and write SP's would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of coastal harvet & silvicultural systems
  • Physically fit and interested in working in outdoor climates year round
  • Knowledge and understanding of navigational tools, maps, GPS surveys and applications, and general computer skills (MS Office, RoadEng, and ArcGIS)
  • Experience working around trucks, ATV's, boats, float planes, & helicopters.
  • Physical ability and familiarity with traveling via logging or resource roads in inclement weather and across backcountry/forest landscapes safely.
