Job details Position Overview: The Financial Controller is to undertake all aspects of financial management for FHQ Developments and our companies. Responsibilities include corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Finance Controller responsibilities will also include financial risk management. This role must have a solid background in communication, technology, analytical and management skills. The role usually requires at least five to seven years of relevant experience and a minimum of obtaining a bachelors degree in accounting or finance. A masters degree in business administration (MBA) or a professional designation such as the chartered professional accountant (CPA) designation will be considered a plus. Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued. Qualifications:Proven working experience as a Financial Controller5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experienceBachelor degree in AccountingCPA or MBA preferredThorough knowledge of accounting principles and proceduresExperience with creating financial statementsExperience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close processExcellent accounting software user and administration skillsExperience with AACPAC considered an asset For more info, or to apply, please go to www.tokata.ca (We will not accept email applications)
