Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment:

  • Proactively lead recruitment efforts to attract and retain top talent, ensuring candidates align with company culture and core values.
  • Anticipate staffing needs by collaborating with department managers and forecasting growth, developing recruitment strategies well in advance of demand.
  • Oversee the entire recruitment lifecycle, ensuring a seamless process from job postings to interviews, hiring, and onboarding, with a focus on building a long-term talent pipeline.
  • Ensure the recruitment strategy supports right people, right seats (EOS terminology) principles.

Performance Management & Development:

  • Implement proactive performance management systems that reflect EOS principles, focusing on accountability, clarity, and measurable outcomes.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and guidance to managers on conducting performance reviews that anticipate future development needs and support employee growth.
  • Identify emerging training needs and implement learning programs that align with both current roles and future company needs.
  • Develop initiatives that encourage personal ownership of development, aligning with the company's long-term vision.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Continuously evaluate compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they remain competitive and aligned with business objectives and employee retention strategies.

Policy Development & Compliance:

  • Create forward-thinking HR policies that reflect both current needs and anticipate future business developments.
  • Conduct regular audits and implement processes to ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and health and safety standards before they become an issue.
  • Drive an EOS-focused approach to policy enforcement, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with the organization's long-term goals.

HR Data Management & Reporting:

  • Proactively manage HR systems, ensuring data accuracy, security, and confidentiality, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Analyze HR metrics and provide forward-looking insights to support strategic decision-making, focusing on engagement, retention, and performance trends.
  • Prepare regular, action-oriented reports for leadership on key HR activities, identifying areas for improvement and anticipating future workforce needs.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the HR team to take ownership of their roles, ensuring alignment with EOS principles and best practices.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to embed HR strategies into the company’s long-term vision and business objectives.
  • Foster a proactive culture by guiding managers and employees through HR initiatives that promote accountability, clear expectations, and professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 4 years of experience in an HR role, including 2+ years in a management or leadership position.
  • Certifications: CPHR designation is preferred but not mandatory.
