About the Role:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, P&C Operations, the P&C Operations Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting both Wavers and the P&C team. They will be responsible for leading Wave’s orientation program, supporting the development of processes to improve efficiency on the team while also managing administrative duties of the HR team.

Here’s How You Make an Impact:
  • Leading Wave’s orientation program by coordinating and presenting new hire orientation sessions, answering questions and providing administrative support
  • Collaborating with the P&C team to make improvements to the orientation program
  • Working with the IT and Talent Acquisition teams to ensure that new Wavers are set up correctly within Wave’s systems
  • Providing an exemplary employee experience by monitoring the People & Culture inbox and team slack channels, responding or assigning all inquiries, and answering general employee inquiries in a timely fashion and with care
  • Providing administrative support to the P&C Business Partner team by preparing required letters and making updates to HRIS as needed
  • Supporting the Senior Manager, P&C Operations with benefits administration for both Canadian and US employees
  • Ensuring data accuracy of the HRIS by maintaining the HRIS and ensuring all system updates are completed
  • Scheduling and providing administrative support for employee onboarding and off boarding
  • Maintaining organizational charts for the purpose of organizational planning and design
  • Pulling and submitting monthly reports to Wave’s parent company and internal Finance teams
  • Supporting the documentation and improvement of processes within the P&C team
You Thrive Here By Possessing the Following:
  • Completed Post-secondary education in HR or a related field2-3 years of previous HR
  • Experience or related experience
  • Working knowledge of HR competencies, including compensation, talent management, benefits, and labour laws an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to act with empathy
  • Process-oriented
  • Strong organization, prioritization and attention to detail skills
  • Process-driven with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Upholds a high level of integrity and ethical conduct in HR practices
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive HR information and situations
