The Role:

The Company is seeking tohire a Director Application Development. The Director will lead adevelopment team responsible for architecting and developing highlyscalable web and mobile applications that serve to enable the businessto derive value and efficiency and solve business challenges. TheDirector will create significant positive impact to the business usingmodern web technologies, automation, data engineering, and cloudengineering.

Importantly, the successful candidatewill embrace the entrepreneurial world and manage multiple initiativessimultaneously. Culture fit will be highly valued. Of particularimportance, the individual will lead a team of smart and drivendevelopers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a small team of internal FullStack developers and integrate with our onshore external developmentpartner services to maximize the value delivered to the business
  • Design, direct, and complete entire applications, andservices from start to finish with the ability to scale
  • Ensure quality of programs by evaluating solutions forefficiency, scalability, and flexibility
  • Take an active rolein mentoring and training team members
  • Routinely identify anddrive process improvements
  • Ensure solutions produced areoperating as expected
  • Participate in and lead code-reviewsessions to identify potential problems and/or alternative solutions
  • Lead the development and implementation of technical codingstandards

Qualifications:

  • BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science or a relatedtechnical field is a plus
  • 10+ years of progressive experiencein production web platform development
  • Proven backend codingand architecture experience with front end and backend languages
  • Angular and .NET 5-6, c#, json, Xamarin Framework a must
  • Python experience is a bonus
  • Cloud developmentexperience (preferably AWS)
  • Experience with both NOSQL andTransact-SQL database platforms and integration
  • Experiencewith Message Queue Platforms
  • Experience with Restful APIdevelopment and architecture
  • Experience with IntegratedTesting (Postman, Fiddler etc.)
  • Experience with DEVOPs
  • Proven experience in new application development/architecture in a technical capacity (developer/ architect)
  • Demonstratedunderstanding of entire development cycle, from concept to deploymentand monitoring
  • Retail application/solution experience is abonus
