Webuild envisions, designs, and builds major works and infrastructure for sustainable mobility, hydropower, water, and green buildings.Webuild has won a new contract to deliver the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations section of the Ontario Line and we are currently seeking a Construction Quality Control Manager.This position is a full-time 100% onsite position at our downtown office.The Construction Quality Control Manager is responsible for managing and supervising all on-site activities for construction projects. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and overseeing the quality of work. The Construction Quality Control Manager ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement quality control procedures and policies for construction projects.Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.Review and approve material submittals, shop drawings, and other project documentation.Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to address quality issues and ensure adherence to project specifications.Provide training and guidance to project staff on quality standards and best practices.Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, test results, and non-conformance reports.Prepare and present quality control reports to management and stakeholders.Identify and resolve quality issues and defects promptly.Implement corrective and preventive actions to address recurring quality problems.Ensure that all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in regulations that may affect quality control processes.Education and QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.Minimum of 10 years of experience as Construction QC ManagerResponsible for quality control requirements as set out in the CQMP for the Works.Shall be certified as a quality professional from a certifying body, as a minimum successful completion of an ISO9001 Lead Auditor Training Course.Prepare, review and implement of the Inspection and Test Plans.Supervision of quality inspection staff and ensuring that individuals have the required qualifications and experience to undertake the quality control requirements as set out in the CQMP.Shall have experience as a quality manager or quality control manager for the construction within the field of rail and transit, transportation and infrastructure projects of similar size, complexity,and contractual value to this Project.Have prior experience with or knowledge of the CAIT Manual Requirements, Ontario Provincial StandardsSpecifications and MTO standards.Work EnvironmentAt WeBuild, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive culture that promotes gender equity and the recruitment of under-represented groups at all levels of our workforce.
