Webuild envisions, designs, and builds major works and infrastructure for sustainable mobility, hydropower, water, and green buildings.Webuild has won a new contract to deliver the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations section of the Ontario Line and we are currently seeking a Construction Quality ManagerThe Construction Quality Manager’s key responsibilities are:Develop and implement a quality management system.Undertake and/or participate in development of a Construction Quality Control Plan/Manual, QA plans, Inspection and Testing Plans, developing process mapping and internal quality procedures and processes, management of a non-conformance management system.Work closely with Construction Supervisors, Schedulers, Planners regarding development and implementation of the project quality system ensuring thorough understanding of the project scope and schedule.Produce quality work, meeting requirements of plans, specifications and industry standards.Have a thorough knowledge of the Projects Quality Management System, work instructions and procedures.Ensure work is performed to established technical requirements defined by project documentation including drawings, specifications, procedures, inspection & test plans and work instructions.Align quality control objectives with construction procedures to achieve product reliability and minimize cost.Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.Generate quality reports and metrics.Issue notice of non-conformances and stop-work orders, conferring with clients, and quality personnel to document incidents, contract requirements, and recommend corrective actions.Read worker logs, as-builts, quality checklist, test reports and specification sheets, to verify that records adhere to contract specificationsAnalyze operations to evaluate performance of a company and its staff in meeting objectives, and to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy changeRecommend modifications to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality.EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONSConstruction Management, Civil Engineering or related degree.At minimum, 5 years of experience in Quality Management in civil construction.The ISO Lead Auditor qualification is a minimum requirement.The Construction Quality Manager shall be certified as quality professionals from certifying bodies, as a minimum successful completion of an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Training Course.JOB REQUIREMENTSThe Construction Quality Manager shall have experience overseeing the construction quality of a project as described in the CQMP within the field of rail and transit, transportation and infrastructure projects of similar size, complexity and contractual value to this Project.Proven record in the development phase of the quality plans, developing and implementing a quality management system.Demonstrated experience developing a Construction Quality Control Plan/Manual, QA plans, Inspection and Testing Plans, developing process mapping and internal quality procedures and processes, and managing a non-conformance management system.Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative.Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives.Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.Work EnvironmentAt Webuild, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive culture that promotes gender equity and the recruitment of under-represented groups at all levels of our workforce.
