Job Description

Reporting to the Manager, FP&A – Managed Services, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for the financial close, quarterly forecast, annual budget and reporting and analytics of the managed services and the SGP portfolios. The successful candidate will work closely with business partners in operations and with the SGP sales team to analyze financial results and drive financial performance.

This position will be located at our Head Office in Markham, Ontario and will have flexibility for both remote and in-office work based on our hybrid work model.

Accountabilities

  1. Execute on period end close activities such as accruals, deferrals, prepaids.
  2. Perform variance analysis to budget, forecast and prior year and prepare period end reports and review financial performance with business partners and finance leadership.
  3. Complete balance sheet reconciliations and provide commentary on balance sheet variances.
  4. Support audit requests and submissions.
  5. Collaborate with business partners to prepare the quarterly forecasts and the annual budget.
  6. Prepare KPIs and insightful reports to understand client margins and vendor mix to help drive performance and support decision making.
  7. Lead special projects as required.

Qualifications and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting and CPA.
  2. 3-5 years experience in operations finance and/or accounting related role.
  3. Strong communication skills with the ability to multitask in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  4. Detail oriented with strong desire to “dig in” to learn the business.
  5. Excellent organizational, computer and analytical skills; advanced working knowledge of Excel.
