We are expanding our services in Health and Safety, and we are looking for a Health and Safety Manager to lead this initiative.

IPAC Consulting is seeking a dynamic and passionate Health and Safety (H&S) Manager to join our team. As the H&S Manager, you will be responsible for developing and leading H&S service offerings and programs in accordance with provincial H&S regulations and standards. Your contributions will play a pivotal role in enhancing the safety and well-being of individuals in our client organizations, in compliance with provincial H&S requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and expansion of H&S service offerings and programs for our clients, ensuring strict adherence to provincial H&S regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with clients across various sectors to understand their unique H&S needs and challenges, while staying in accordance with provincial H&S standards.
  • Develop and implement tailored H&S strategies, policies, and risk assessment plans that meet provincial H&S requirements.
  • Provide training sessions and educational resources to clients and their staff to ensure compliance with provincial H&S regulations and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant provincial H&S regulations and standards, guiding clients to meet and exceed provincial H&S compliance requirements.
  • opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization of H&S practices for clients, while aligning with provincial H&S standards.
  • Maintain detailed records, reports, and documentation to track progress and ensure transparency, following provincial H&S guidelines.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in H&S, especially in line with provincial H&S standards, and share expertise within the organization.
  • Participate in infection prevention and control work and collaborate with the IPAC Consulting team to learn and contribute to infection prevention and control practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety.
  • Extensive experience in the Healthcare/Construction industries
  • Health and Safety certifications/designations
  • Proven experience in H&S management, consulting, or related roles with a strong understanding of provincial H&S regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • A commitment to promoting best practices in H&S in accordance with provincial H&S standards.
  • Willingness to learn and participate in IPAC work to enhance infection prevention and control knowledge.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Frequent travel within the province and occasional interprovincial travel required.
  • Fluent in French, both written and spoken, with the ability to effectively communicate and conduct business in French-speaking environments would be considered an asset.
