We are looking for an enthusiastic Summer Marketing Intern to join our Marketing department and provide support to the Marketing team. You will have administrative duties in developing and implementing marketing strategies. As a marketing intern, you will collaborate with our marketing and advertising team in all stages of marketing campaigns. Your insightful contribution will help develop, expand, and maintain our marketing channels. This internship will help you acquire marketing skills and provide you with knowledge of various marketing strategies. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in marketing and events execution, and should be prepared to enter any fast-paced work environment.Key outputs and deliverables:Collecting quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaignsAssist in updating and maintaining GS1 platform.Assist in the creation of marketing materials and newsletters.Performing market analysis and researchSupporting the marketing team in daily administrative tasksHelp organize marketing assets & materials.Manage and update company database.Requirements:Strong desire to learn along with professional drive.Available to work evenings and weekends as required (for events)Prepared to enter any fast-paced work environment.Strong verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and CanvaFamiliarity with social media platformsCreative thinking and problem-solving skillsStrong project management skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.Willingness to learn and take on new tasks.Passion for the marketing industry and its best practicesAvailable to work full-time for a minimum of three months.Experience in event planning and coordination is an asset.Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in marketing or related fieldApplicants are invited to submit resumes via email to sherri.jackson@gkco.com no later than Thursday, April 11, 2024.
