The Ministry of Agriculture is seeking a highly motivated, well-organized, innovative, and self-directed Planning and Performance Consultant to join the Corporate Services Branch. Reporting to the Director of Planning, Information and Technology, this position plays a key role in identifying, developing, leading, and reporting on Ministry strategic planning activities and business improvement initiatives.
The position will provide consulting, expertise and support to the conceptualization, development, planning and implementation of the Ministry’s strategic planning model, including the Ministry’s four-year strategic plan, operational and tactical plans, and the annual report.
The position will assist with coordinating the evaluation and identification of risks and performance measurements in collaboration with clients across the Ministry, and also support the development of performance models and risk framework for the Ministry.
The position will lead change initiatives regarding business process improvement opportunities to simplify and optimize business processes and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, and will collaborate with branch clients to review and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services offered by the ministry to ensure ministry clients are receiving the best possible service.
The position will lead the Health, Safety and Training Coordinator position with ensuring the ministry's compliance with The Saskatchewan Employment Act, and regulations, including continuous improvements to the ministry's health and safety programs.
Our candidate of choice will possess a solid understanding of business process management, change management, and government structures and processes, as well as excellent communication skills, conceptual and strategic thinking skills, and be able to negotiate and mediate with diverse groups with conflicting interests.
