You will lead the Finance Department. In addition, you will have an opportunity to assist evaluating M&A opportunities, investments, and other corporate development activities. You will need to develop smooth, cooperative working relationships with all levels and be comfortable presenting financial data and recommendations in a clear and concise way.

Areas where your competencies shine

All the responsibilities we'll trust you with:
  • Financial planning including annual operating plan and monthly forecast updates with focus on traffic, monetization, revenue, expenses, and headcount.
  • Monthly and quarterly reporting packages including P&L's, revenue dashboards, and other key deliverables to executives.
  • Variance analysis comparing financial results, key metrics, and traffic to plan and prior period. Building roadmaps/recons for management to understand key variances.
  • Coordinate key processes for financial and operational planning (monthly finance reviews, Quarterly Business Metrics, etc).
  • Data retrieval, input and maintenance for multiple finance files.
  • Monitor and develop methodologies for analyzing business KPIs. Inform business decisions with thoughtful analysis.
  • Deliver clear verbal and written explanations of analyses to senior management that translate findings into strategic recommendations.
  • Lead investment opportuniy allocation, build financial models.
  • Work with external CPA to coordinate on financial data and plans.
Your core expertise & skills

that matter most for this role:

  • 3-5 years finance experience with CPA or CFA designation, including Reporting, Financial Analysis or related fields. Prior experience with SAAS businesses is a plus.
  • Experience providing decision support to senior management.
  • Demonstrated forecasting skills and understanding of business financial structures.
  • Ability to set and deliver on expectations in the agreed-upon amount of time.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable managing meetings and interfacing with the executive management team.
  • Media/E-commerce/Cryptocurrencies experience is a plus.
  • Website valuation, SR&ED and M&A experience is a plus.
  • Competent at building financial models to facilitate ROI driven decision making across the organization.
  • Expert at asset allocation decision making.
