The Director of Operations is responsible for directing the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing evaluation of the program areas of facilities and property management relating to Yukon schools, environmental stewardship, student transportation, and health and safety for the department of Education.

We are looking for an innovative individual who demonstrates exceptional leadership skills, professionalism, and team building skills to represent, facilitate and manage the Operations unit. Through strong communication, effective team management, coordination, and interpersonal skills, you will flourish with a team that is committed to providing a high quality of service to its clients.

Essential Qualifications

  • Significant experience in financial management, project management, facilities, and asset management
  • Significant experience leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team of professionals
  • Experience engaging with and achieving positive outcomes with diverse clients including internal and external stakeholders and professional service personnel
  • Post-secondary coursework or training in occupational health and safety, project management would be considered an asset

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
