Vice President, Legal & Regulatory, Private Equity

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Legal and Regulatory in the Private Equity sector. The successful candidate will be tasked with coordinating global legal, governance, and regulatory strategies across the group, including those related to publicly traded vehicles and various private funds. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the legal and regulatory aspects of the business are in line with the company's high standards and practices.

The Vice President will work closely with the Managing Director and various Private Equity teams, and will be expected to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice, and recommendations. The position demands a high level of organization, analytical thinking, and the ability to develop creative solutions to complex issues.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Called to the Bar in Ontario, New York, or equivalent in another Canadian or United States jurisdiction.
  2. 4-10 years of relevant legal experience.
  3. A high achiever who thrives in a demanding environment, is well-organized, and self-motivated.
  4. A hands-on approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  5. A keen interest in the development of creative solutions and willingness to travel as necessary.
