Corporate Legal Assistant/Team Lead

Our client is a Western Canadian law firm with deep roots in the Calgary market. They are currently looking for Team Lead + Paralegal to head up their Corporate Services Department. This role leads a team, will work with a variety of our internal clients and be responsible for completing a variation of corporate transactions, including but not limited to general search and registration services, incorporations, share structure amendments, share transactions, transfers, redemptions, amalgamations, and director and officer changes.
Conduct team meetings, one on one meetings, and yearly performance reviews.
Identify priorities and manage team workloads.
Incorporate and organize Alberta and Federal corporations, societies, and not-for-profit companies.
Registration of limited partnerships, domestic and extra-provincial.
Entering entities in a corporate database and document management system.
Completion of a paralegal diploma or certificate with a minimum of 8 years’ experience as a corporate paralegal.
~Experience in all aspects of corporate work required, APRES, Alberta CORES III work and accreditation is preferred.
~ Advanced computer skills, specifically with PDF and MS Word.
~ Familiarity with a corporate database is such as ALF is an asset.
~ Normal weekday office hours (35).
This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with a minimum 3 days per week in the office.
