About the Role
The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) is responsible for planning, designing, developing and supporting large sized and multi domain system solutions. The BSA works collaboratively with Senior Directors and cross-functional clients to understand institutional priorities and ensure alignment with IT initiatives. The BSA participates in both the business analysis and solution design of complex integrated institutional systems. The BSA facilitates user story mapping sessions and prepares product backlog items and details of solution designs. The BSA facilitates large collaboration sessions to develop user story maps involving complex task and workflows; designs and delivers training programs; plays a key role in facilitating relationships to gain agreement on re-engineering business practices; facilitates, coordinates, and monitors the automation of business processes; supports the development and outcome analyses of test scenarios; and conveys user story examples to support change. The BSA also provides mentorship and coaching to subject matter experts within the team, to ensure the successful delivery of business solutions.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems or a related discipline, with four years of related experience, including experience in business analysis, working with enterprise level applications in a large, complex, technically focused environment, or an equivalent combination of experience, certification and education.
- Excellent knowledge of systems and functional analysis, quality assurance, and change management best practices
- Excellent knowledge of SQL, data modelling, entity relationship diagrams (ERDs) and logical design
- Good knowledge of facilitating business process re-engineering and improvement.
- Good knowledge of Scrum methodology
- Good knowledge of the Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN)
