About YouYou are a seasoned operations leader with extensive experience in managing a diversified portfolio of organizational functions including HR, Finance, Events, IT, Legal, and Board Administration. The Director of Operations is a senior position responsible for overseeing the operational functions of our non-profit. You will ensure the smooth day-to-day running of services and administration while supporting long-term strategic initiatives. Additionally, you will oversee the fractional management of external service providers in areas such as legal, financial services, HR, IT, board services, and travel & events. The goal is to build internal capacity for these functions, aiming for a fully internal delivery of administrative and financial services within two to three years.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Oversight: Manage and optimize diversified organizational functions including HR, Finance, Events, IT, Legal, and Board Administration.
- Stakeholder and Partners Management: Build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and partners.
- Resource Allocation and Budget Control: Oversee budgeting and the allocation of resources, focusing especially on financial management.
- Risk Management: Implement and maintain adequate policies and procedures to protect the organization from legal and operational risks.
- Service Provider Management: Administer and oversee fractional managed service providers to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and quality service delivery.
Minimum of 5 years in senior management roles with similar organizations, demonstrating deep experience in administering HR, Finance, Events, IT, Legal, and Board Administration teams. At least 10 years of relevant career experience in an operations capacity, with a strong focus on financial management. A high degree of technological proficiency is essential given the fully digital nature of our operational processes.
