Financial Analyst – Accounting Systems

Due to continued growth, Brandt is currently looking to fill a Financial Analyst, Accounting Systems & Projects position in our Regina, SK location.
Reporting to the Manager, Accounting Systems & Projects, this position will assist the Manager with maintenance of business systems, general ledger, and reporting tools; support projects such as system implementations, conversions, and process improvements to optimize reporting across all divisions. The ideal candidate has proficient Excel and PowerBI skills including experience with Power Query, exposure to ERP system maintenance, and experience collaborating with IT and operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the accounting systems, ensuring integration with the company’s internal reporting tools, and providing support to the accounting teams.
- Assist with planning, testing, and implementation of accounting system functionality improvements, to drive efficiencies for operations and accounting.
- Assist in the development and implementation of a new financial statement reporting tool for all divisions, and support the ongoing maintenance.
- Work in collaboration with the IT department on the development and maintenance of a database of financial and operational metrics to support reporting across the company.
- Along with operations and accounting teams, assist in the development and maintenance of consistent KPI reporting across all divisions.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting to be used across the company.
- Assist in training operations and accounting teams on using Power BI and other reporting tools.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of improvements to the company’s budget tool, and perform annual updates and maintenance required in advance of the budget cycle.
