This position is pivotal in overseeing the maintenance of financial systems, general ledger, and reporting mechanisms. The role also encompasses support for various projects aimed at system enhancements, conversions, and process optimizations to improve reporting across multiple divisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of accounting systems while providing essential support to accounting teams.
  • Assist in the planning, testing, and rollout of improvements to system functionalities.
  • Facilitate the creation and implementation of a comprehensive financial statement reporting tool for all divisions.
  • Collaborate with IT to sustain a repository of financial and operational metrics.
  • Ensure consistent KPI reporting across all divisions.
  • Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting frameworks.
  • Provide training to operations and accounting teams on utilizing Power BI and other reporting tools.
  • Strategize and execute enhancements to the company's budgeting tool.

Essential Skills

Qualifications

  • Experience in an accounting environment with familiarity in Accounting System Software.
  • Proficient in Excel and some exposure to Microsoft Power BI.
  • Solid understanding of financial metrics and accounting principles.
  • Degree or diploma in Business/Accounting; advanced degree or professional Accounting designation is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
  • Strong ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
