RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, analyze, and interpret financial data, budgets, and forecasts to guide strategic decision making.
- Provide insightful recommendations for improving financial performance and achieving business objectives.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Generate management reports to communicate financial results to key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and dealership policies.
- Oversee day to day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger activities.
- Maintain and reconcile financial records using QuickBooks accounting software.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.
- Implement and monitor internal control procedures to safeguard dealership assets.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address audit findings.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filing requirements.
- Manage cashflow to optimize working capital and liquidity.
- Monitor banking activities and reconcile bank statements.
- Negotiate and manage vendor contracts to optimize cost efficiency.
- Evaluate and establish relationships with financial institutions.
- Collaborate with IT teams to address system related issues and implement improvements.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have 6 – 8 years experience as a Financial Controller or similar role in an automotive setting
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Preferred CPA designation
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail orientated with a commitment to accuracy and integrity
- In depth knowledge of QuickBooks and Quorum dealer management system
