CPA Ontario is currently in search of a Student Recruiter who will act as a brand ambassador, responsible for attracting new students to the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) program by promoting the designation. This position includes building and fostering strong relationships, working closely with community partners as well as creating brand awareness initiatives and developing strategies to advance the CPA profession in Ontario.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Promoting the CPA brand and designation while acting as the “face of CPA Ontario Student Recruitment”. 
  • Scheduling workshops with teachers and strategic partners to facilitate workshops with students.
  • Building a network with key stakeholders at High Schools, agencies, and other organizations with the goal of increasing student engagement through event and program participation.  
  • Showcasing the CPA Ontario brand by participating in boothing events and career fairs. 
  • Developing and executing initiatives to maximize outreach and exposure which include planning and participating in events such as experiential competitions, skill-building and financial literacy workshops, conferences, case competitions with the goal of engaging students and optimizing CPA exposure.
  • Sourcing new sponsorship and partnership opportunities while developing new relationships and successfully executing key sponsorship agreements.
  • Coordinating major projects and organizing conferences in addition to partnering the Marketing team to develop appropriate messaging, newsletters, social content, collateral, and digital marketing strategies while tracking KPIs, budgets and reporting on overall project success. 
  • Developing innovative business plans and strategies in order to drive recruitment, growing High School Ambassador Program membership and meeting objectives. 
  • Fostering and building relationships with educational institutions and other external stakeholders as well as internal clients and teams while participating in cross-departmental projects and meetings and assisting with tracking and reporting duties.

Who You Are:

  • A post-secondary graduate with a degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business Administration or a related discipline. 
  • Experienced in a related field such as student engagement, on campus liaison, sponsorship or partnerships management, business development, public relations, marketing and/or communications, combined with a strong business acumen. 
  • An excellent communicator (verbal and written) with attention to detail, strong presentation, interpersonal and public speaking skills.     
  • Technically savvy and knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams. Experience with Salesforce and Power BI is considered an asset. 
  • Able to motivate and inspire others and build and nurture relationships with ease, but also adept at influencing and negotiating with others to achieve business objectives.
  • Well organized, with project management skills to plan and execute events successfully as well as work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. 
  • Able to travel within Ontario - mostly in the greater Toronto area - and attend events in person. 
  • Able to access a vehicle for business travel and currently hold a valid driver’s license. 
  • Flexible and available to attend events that are outside of regular business hours.
