This competition is to fill one (1) permanent, Full-time position, working 75 hours biweekly.

FHC school sits on the traditional territory of the Kwanlin Dunn First Nation and Ta’an Kwachan Council within the wilderness city of Whitehorse, Yukon. FHC is a dual-track English / French Immersion school, grades 8-12 of approximately 775 students, serving a diverse cultural population.

This position provides support to the School Administration, teaching staff and student body to ensure the efficient operation of FH Collins Secondary School. This position is a supervisory role for 3 clerical staff. Duties include vendor contract assistance, tracking information for budgetary and inter-departmental use. This position will utilize the Aspen program to generate report cards and for scheduling. The incumbent will liaise with the Department to manage School Messenger.

Essential Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary coursework in finance, accounting, business or office administration
  • Extensive experience providing customer service in a busy office setting;
  • Substantial experience providing administrative services in a fast-paced environment preferably in a school or educational setting
  • Experience managing a team; including supervision of staff is preferred
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to manage tasks, create reports, and enhance communication efficiency
  • Experience working with Student Information Database System such as ASPEN would be considered an asset.

Conditions of Employment:

  • RCMP Security Clearance, Vulnerable Sector
  • Standard First Aid (willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire)
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
