Wellspring is seeking a professional art therapist to join our pool of professional leaders. The ideal individual would provide group facilitation for Wellspring’s art therapy program at Wellspring Birmingham Gilgan House in Oakville, Ontario. This is an independent contractor position and ideal for someone who has private practice or part-time work.  


The ideal consultant will bring the following skills:

  • Must have relevant education or training (preferably graduate level), with a minimum of three years’ professional experience
  • Have specific training or experience in working with those with chronic disease and/or cancer
  • Be a member in good standing with the appropriate college
  • Have a minimum of three years direct, professional leadership experience in a group setting (in addition to experience that may be gained as a student)
  • Have previous group-based leadership experience with individuals who have a significant emotional or physical health issues
  • Experience leading art-based programming
