Job Description:

Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week

Education: Bachelor's degree

Experience: 5 years or more

Tasks Include:
  1. Administer staff consultation and grievance procedures
  2. Coordinate the activities of the HR department in order to ensure they meet the organization's goals
  3. Plan, develop, implement and evaluate human resources policies and programs
  4. Advise managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, benefit programs and collective agreements
  5. Establish and implement policies and procedures
  6. Plan, develop and implement recruitment strategies
  7. Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions and salary scales
  8. Administer benefit employment equity and other human resources programs
  9. Manage contracts
  10. Co-ordinate employee performance and appraisal programs
  11. Manage training and development strategies
  12. Oversee the analysis of employee data and information
  13. Research employee benefits and health and safety practices and recommend changes
  14. Advise senior management
  15. Respond to employee questions and complaints
  16. Hire, train and supervise staff
  17. Oversee payroll administration
  18. Recruit and hire staff
  19. Coaching
  20. Conduct performance reviews
  21. Evaluate work environments, programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury
  22. Supervision 1 to 2 people
Skills and Qualifications:

Computer and Technology Knowledge: Human resources software, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, MS Word, Project management software

Area of Specialization: Conciliation and mediation, Employment equity, Human resources, Job analysis and evaluation, Compensation and benefits, Training and professional development, Wage analysis

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

Ability to work independently, Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Attention to detail, Large workload
