Typical Day in Role:

  1. Perform analysis, design, implementation, modification, and daily functional support of all applications.
  2. Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies.
  3. Gathers requirements from business units and translates those to programmers and developers.
  4. Prepares cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation.
  5. Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities.
  6. Supports one or more highly complex business processes.
  7. Works on multiple projects as a project team member.
  8. Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.
  9. Serves as a liaison between users and developers to help resolve production issues.
  10. Performs health checks after releases to ensure functionalities have been deployed correctly.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

  1. 8+ years’ experience as BSA, preferably with at least 3-5 recent experience working within a large highly matrixed complex financial institution.
  2. Demonstrated experience having worked on a large project with a budget of over $5 million, with competing priorities with multiple stakeholders.
  3. 3+ years’ experience with JIRA, Confluence, MS Suite.
  4. Experience working within an Agile framework.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  1. Salesforce experience – experience with sub features of Salesforce a strong asset.
  2. Development experience – to have technical mindset in translating requirements.
  3. Project management skills - in order to handle diverse projects, often times simultaneously, and meet aggressive deadlines.

Soft Skills Required:

  1. Ability to solve technical problems/processes and understand complex details.
  2. Ability to increase operating efficiency with high quality technical solutions.
  3. A high level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills necessary to relate to other people at their systems knowledge level.
  4. Ability to analyze complex situations and problems and do the necessary research using multiple sources of information to arrive at innovative solutions.
  5. Ability to create business solutions that increase competitive advantage.
  6. Ability to exercise good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field preferred. MBA or other related advanced degree an asset. Agile/CSM certification an asset. Salesforce certification an asset.
