Job Title: Business Systems Analyst

Nexus Systems Group Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our team. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in aligning technology solutions with business strategies, ensuring seamless integration of applications, and driving business growth through innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Analysis and Design: Perform in-depth analysis, design, implementation, modification, and daily functional support of all applications to ensure they meet business needs.
  2. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders across all business functions to identify technology solutions that align with business strategies and objectives.
  3. Requirements Gathering: Gather requirements from business units and translate them into actionable plans for programmers and developers.
  4. Cost-Benefit Analysis: Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to inform decisions on system implementation and ensure maximum ROI.
  5. Problem-Solving: Demonstrate a deep understanding of business functions to resolve complex problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities.
  6. Project Support: Work on multiple projects as a project team member, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  7. Liaison Role: Serve as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization to provide technical solutions that meet user needs.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: 8+ years' experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably with at least 3-5 recent experience working within a large, highly matrixed complex financial institution.
  2. Project Management: Demonstrated experience working on a large project with a budget of over $5 million, with competing priorities and multiple stakeholders.
  3. Technical Skills: 3+ years' experience with JIRA, Confluence, MS Suite, and experience working within an Agile framework.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  1. Salesforce Experience: Experience with Salesforce sub-features is a strong asset.
  2. Development Experience: Development experience is beneficial to have a technical mindset in translating requirements.
  3. Project Management Skills: Project management skills are essential to handle diverse projects, often simultaneously, and meet aggressive deadlines.
Soft Skills:
  1. Problem-Solving: Ability to solve technical problems and understand complex details.
  2. Interpersonal Skills: High level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills necessary to relate to other people at their systems knowledge level.
  3. Analysis and Research: Ability to analyze complex situations and problems and do the necessary research using multiple sources of information to arrive at innovative solutions.
  4. Business Solutions: Ability to create business solutions that increase competitive advantage.
  5. Judgment: Ability to exercise good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Education:

Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field preferred. MBA or other related advanced degree an asset. Agile/CSM certification an asset. Salesforce certification an asset.
