The Human Resources Administrator supports the Nucor Rebar Fabrication team by performing essential HR functions. This role will maintain employee records, assist with recruitment processes, assist in benefits administration, and support all administrative functions within the HR department while promoting a positive workplace aligned with our company values.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Exhibit behaviour in alignment with Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s vision, mission, and core values.
  2. Perform a range of administrative HR functions, including the maintenance of current documentation related to staffing, recruiting, training, performance evaluations, compensation, leaves of absence, and compliance with provincial/federal regulations.
  3. Provide comprehensive support for all administrative functions within the HR department to ensure smooth operations.
  4. Coordinate recruitment efforts to ensure the successful hiring and integration of new employees within Nucor Rebar Fabrication.
  5. Assist with job postings, applicant screenings, and documentation, ensuring accurate reporting and tracking throughout the recruitment process.
  6. Monitor and support the employee interview and selection process to ensure consistency and compliance with internal standards.
  7. Maintain and update personnel files, ensuring compliance and confidentiality.
  8. Respond to inquiries from employees at all levels regarding policies, payroll, and benefits, following up on issues to ensure prompt resolution.
  9. Assist in conducting external and internal audits of HR and payroll data to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  10. Support wellness initiatives and other employee engagement and communications activities.
  11. Perform additional duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  1. Minimum 2-year diploma in a relevant field.
  2. Understanding general HR policies and practices.
  3. Strong organizational, customer service, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  4. Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  5. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  6. Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  7. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.

Special Demands:

  1. Willingness to work overtime when required.

Physical Demands:

  1. Regular office activities such as walking, sitting, standing, and bending.
  2. Use of hands to operate office equipment, including computers and tools.
  3. Occasional lifting of computer equipment and other objects as needed.
  4. Visual abilities including close vision and focus adjustment.
  5. Moderate noise levels typical in an office environment.
