In this role, you will be responsible for environmental planning, permitting, execution and environmental inspection as it applies to project and program work.
Are you an Environmental professional who has a specialized knowledge of regulatory processes and environmental mitigation as it applies to construction work? Come work with our team to help us meet Enbridge's environmental objectives
What you will do:
- Accountable for the environmental planning process including the preparation of environmental assessments reports, public information sessions, the acquisition of permits, and cost estimating.
- Work with federal, provincial and local agencies to secure approvals and ensure environmental compliance of projects.
- Monitor compliance with environmental permits and conditions during construction and ensure post construction environmental permit compliance.
- Establish viable working relationships with various government agencies, agency personnel, Indigenous communities and landowners.
- Manage environmental aspects of multiple projects simultaneously, including management of consultants, environmental inspectors and adherence to schedule and budget.
- Ensure valued membership of project teams by providing timely and accurate information to internal stakeholders.
Who you are:
- University Degree in environmental, engineering or biological science related field.
- 7 years or more of environmental experience, preferably in pipeline, industry, infrastructure sectors.
- Familiarity with environmental assessment methodologies and permitting across Canada.
- Effective written and oral communication skills, focused internally and externally at all levels.
- Prioritize multiple tasks and work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to develop effective, collaborative relationships with colleagues from a variety of subject areas, levels of the organization and across geographic locations.
Working Conditions:
- Office environment with 10% travel.
