ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the Regional Director for Ontario within HSO’s Client and Assessment Services team, you hold a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare quality and excellence. Your mandate goes beyond mere oversight; you are a visionary leader entrusted with steering the strategy for Ontario’s healthcare landscape and long-term care facilities. At the heart of your mission lies a dedication to contributing to HSO's overarching goal: facilitating continuous improvement in the quality of care, thus empowering individuals worldwide.

You serve as a beacon of Accreditation Canada, embodying its values and principles in every interaction. Whether engaging with executives, clinicians, policymakers, or stakeholders, your profound understanding and fervor for quality shine through. Your ability to build rapport and instill confidence fosters enduring relationships, essential for driving positive change.

In this multifaceted role, you are more than a regional director; you are an architect of innovation, constantly seeking novel approaches to deliver value to healthcare organizations. Your strategic acumen, coupled with superior critical thinking skills, enables you to navigate complex challenges with finesse. You thrive in the realm of business development, eagerly exploring new avenues to expand HSO's reach and impact.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Possessing a deep understanding of the Ontario healthcare landscape and the specific needs of organizations within it.
  • Providing strategic oversight and addressing operational challenges to ensure programs are delivered efficiently.
  • Lead change management initiatives
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients by having a deep understanding of their needs.
  • Staying on top of emerging trends, deepening corporate knowledge and strategizing corporate initiatives in a specific health services area.
  • Building authentic and enduring relationships with staff, clients, partners, consultative, and operational committees; rallying them to contribute to your goals and success.
  • Identify with clients and assess their unique needs through an understanding of their performance indicators, culture and the context of their organization.
  • Contributing positively to the culture of our workplace by staying positive, engaged in the work you do and energized by the difference you’re making.

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a related field, such as Healthcare or Business Administration.
  • 7+ years of progressive and varied experience in client services, within the Ontario Healthcare system and in the field of healthcare.
  • Tried and tested assessment, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills. This is key. You’ll be interacting daily with our accreditation team and with our valued client organizations.
  • Change Management Experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Are familiar with the Long-term-care facilities.
  • Are familiar with our Qmentum program and accreditation process.
  • Are available for travel.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

In Your First 30-90 Days:

  • Complete our orientation program with other new hires to learn about HSO, our values of trust, inclusion, collaboration, innovation and learning, and our mission of quality improvement in healthcare and social services.
  • Set your performance and learning objectives for the year in collaboration with your people manager.
  • Meet regularly with your people manager to discuss your learning progression and alignment for your accountabilities.
