Headquartered in Toronto, the Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) is responsible for investing in new infrastructure projects. The CIB’s mission is to work with provincial, territorial, municipal, federal, Indigenous and private sector investor partners to transform the way infrastructure is planned, financed and delivered in Canada.

The Senior Manager, Project Delivery, will be responsible for successful delivery of projects within the CIB IT department. They will work closely with the Head of IT and Office Services and with various stakeholders within the business, utilizing their skills to ensure projects are correctly planned and successfully delivered.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Implement a project management methodology to be used for all CIB IT projects
  • Manage a portfolio of projects within the CIB IT department and, occasionally, spanning other functional groups. Oversee relationship with external suppliers involved in CIB projects
  • Ensure efficient record keeping for audit purposes. Support the audit process as required.
  • Identify, formalize and implement a suitable agile methodology for the continuous development by the IT team
  • Develop, maintain, and implement procedures to support project delivery
  • Define and implement consistent reporting on project portfolio status
  • Maintain and manage a RAID log spanning the project portfolio
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the CIB IT roadmap
  • Work with the Director, Application Management and IT Operations to ensure efficient use of resources and no negative impact on IT operations
  • Act as a mentor to the IT team
  • Occasional (though rare) visits to the CIB offices in Calgary and Montréal may be required
The ideal profile:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • PMP certification
  • CSM certification
  • 10+ years of experience as a project manager
  • 10+ years of experience in the financial services or a comparable industry
  • Experience working for a crown corporation is strongly preferred
  • Experience ranging from small projects to large transformational programs
  • Experience managing projects involving MS Dynamics 365 and/or other Microsoft business applications
  • Experience managing external suppliers
  • Relationship-builder
  • High level of tact, diplomacy, and discretion in dealing with highly confidential, sensitive matters and interactions
  • Diligence and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
