Job Description:

The Human Resources Operations Specialist will oversee payroll and benefits administration, manage worker compensation and disability claims, ensure compliance with federal and provincial wellness laws, and conduct training sessions for managers. This role requires a deep understanding of Canadian payroll and benefit laws, fiscal regulations, and the ability to handle sensitive matters with confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, verify, and process all employee payroll related payments.
  • Manage weekly and bi-weekly payroll.
  • Ensure compliance with provincial requirements for worker compensation claims.
  • Administer and manage disability claims.
  • Coordinate wellness initiatives and benefits enrollment.
  • Assist with benefit-related queries and compliance.
  • Conduct on-boarding sessions for new employees.
  • Maintain compliance with provincial and federal entities.
  • Assist with special projects related to payroll and benefits.
Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian labor laws, fiscal laws, and payroll processes.
  • Ability to handle special payments, worker's compensation pay, severance pay, and garnishments.
  • Bilingual (French and English).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • PCP preferred.
