Responsibilities:

Serve on cross functional teams and provide daily technical supports to the additive, machining, quality, and deburring teams. Design fixtures, generate CAD models/drawings, and develop the manufacturing instructions to lead the process to manufacture complex precision-machined components. Work with CNC programmers and machining team to develop/optimize the machining strategies. Continuously expand the knowledge of CAD/CAM, machining strategies, and manufacturing processes to provide advice to customers and internal teams. Develop and update standard manufacturing instructions. Regularly collect process data from the manufacturing processes. Perform the process / engineering change requests. Adhere to company policies and standard.

Role Requirements:

Post-secondary degree in aerospace/mechanical/industrial engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience. Minimum 3 years of experience. Strong knowledge of CAD. SolidWorks is preferred. Strong knowledge in principles of machining and work-holding strategies. Strong knowledge in blueprint reading, precision measurement and GD&T. Strong organizational, communication and team playing skills. Knowledge of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing. Knowledge of Aerospace documentation and specifications is an asset. Experience in post machining of Additive Manufactured parts is an asset. Experience in CNC programming 3 and 5 axis using Mastercam/NX is an asset. Proficiency with Windows-based computer applications (i.e. MS Office applications).
