We are seeking a Molding Process Engineer/Specialist to be part of our dynamic team. This role is pivotal as it involves serving as a corporate authority in the injection molding of plastic components, particularly focusing on PVC and CPVC materials. The selected candidate will work closely with manufacturing teams on various problem-solving initiatives and continuous enhancement projects.
Position Overview
The Process Engineer/Specialist will evaluate operational processes, pinpoint areas for improvement, and spearhead projects aimed at boosting productivity, quality, and safety standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Defining specifications for equipment related to new product lines.
- Engaging in innovation initiatives to drive product development.
- Standardizing operational processes to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Engineering or a related technical field such as Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in the plastics molding sector.
- Demonstrated success in continuous improvement methodologies and project management.
- Proven ability to lead in a collaborative, cross-functional team setting.
- Strong communication skills, with bilingual proficiency in English and French being advantageous.
- Competence in standard computer software applications.
- Familiarity with established management systems, including ISO, Health & Safety, and Environmental standards.
- Willingness to travel across North America, up to 10% of the time.
