Are you a technology professional, seeking a new and unique opportunity? 

Our client is a niche insurance provider to the professional services community in Ontario. They are currently seeking an experienced technology and services professional to join the team as their Information Services (IS) Manager. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead all IT and data operations, ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the Managed Service Provider (MSP) to maintain and improve IT systems.
  • Manage the IT Department, consultants, and vendors.
  • Monitor IT vendor performance, and ensure data integrity and security.
  • Drive continuous improvement of user experience and interfaces.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and objectives for IT operations.
  • Stay updated on IT industry trends and technologies.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for IT maintenance and upgrades.
  • Research and propose IT vendor solutions, manage contract negotiations.
  • Establish and enforce corporate IT policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a robust IT security landscape and ensure compliance.

About You

You are a results-oriented professional with a strong background in technology and project implementation. You possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience as an IT Manager or similar role.
  • Proficiency with computer hardware and software, including Cloud-based applications, Microsoft 365, Azure, and MS SQL Server.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
  • Ability to facilitate business requirements workshops and document technical requirements.
  • Strong hardware and software support experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in creating end user documentation.
  • Strong administrative, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage relationships effectively, including with senior leadership.
  • Project Management or ITIL experience, certification an asset.
  • Experience in insurance industry is preferred.
